Coke Oven:

Coke oven is an oven for the conversion of coal into coke by heating coal in the absence of air so as to expel the volatile component. The mixing and heating of bituminous coal at temperatures ranging from 1,000 to 1,100 oC within the airless oven yields the coke. The coke oven is a crucial part of the steel-making process.
