RINL-VSP today yet again proved its commitment to inclusive growth by providing additional class rooms, toilets and other infrastructural facilities – a “Vidya Vikas” programme under its CSR initiative, to a much needed ZP High School in Gajuwaka.
Sri P Madhusudan, CMD, RINL-VSP unveiled the plaque on this occasion in the august presence of Sri Palla Srinivasa Rao, Hon’ble MLA, Gajuwaka.
Sri Palla Srinivasa Rao inaugurated class rooms and other infrastructural facilities, in the presence of other CMD, Directors of RINL.
Speaking on this occasion, Sri Palla Srinivasa Rao, Hon’ble MLA complimented Sri Madhusudan and the Directors for taking such noble initiatives and said that around 1500 students are going to benefit immensely with these additional facilities. More girl students can be enrolled in High School with the increase in bathrooms, class rooms, he added. He advised the School Management to work hard for getting better results in the coming years. He assured that he will extend all help for using Vizag Steel products in the construction of AP’s new Capital City ‘Amaravathi’.
Sri Madhusudan said that Vizag steel has provided 5 additional class rooms, 10 toilets i.e 5 each for Girls & Boys, Volley Ball cum Hand Ball court, furniture etc at a cost of Rs 49 lakhs. He also said that Vizag Steel has earlier extended help by providing two class rooms, school furniture like tables and Chairs etc. Vizag Steel has taken up ambitious plan under “Vidya Vikas” programme to provide all needed facilities to government schools where economically weaker sections children are studying. He assured that the help of extending facilities to nearby Government Schools will continue in future too, and said that VSP will be always in the forefront in developing its surrounding communities.
Sri Mantri Rajsekhar, General Secretary, INTUC, B Pydi Raju, TNTUC, Palla Srinivasa Rao, Ex Corporator spoke on this occasion. Sri G Gandhi, DGM (CSR) welcomed the gathering and Sri Siva Kumar, Head Master, ZP High Schools presided over the function.
Sri PC Mohapatra, Director (Projects), Dr GBS Prasad, Director (Personnel), Sri DN Rao, Director (Operations), Sri TVS Krishna Kumar, Director (Finance), Sri P Raychaudhury, Director (Commercial), Sri RP Srivatsava, Executive Director (Corporate Services) and Sri T Siva Rama Prasad, Project Officer, APSSA, graced the occasion.
Union Leaders S/Sri Gandam Venkata Rao, Y Mastanappa, Ballireddy Satyanarayana, Steel Executive Association President Sri Garg and Secretary Dr P Satyanarayana, Sri Anvesh, SC & ST Association, Smt Sheeba Rani, Secretary, WIPS and old students of ZP high Schools, large number of Girl Students and Boys participated in the programme.
CSR department of Vizag Steel under its “VidyaVikas” programme taken up this project and the School Management committee through Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) of the AP Govt has taken up construction of 5 additional classrooms, 5 girls toilets & 5 boys’ toilets, repair of existing toilets, barbed wire fencing to compound wall, volley ball cum hand ball court, entry with wicket gate, dais repair and supply of furniture for 5 additional classrooms etc.
