The employees of RINL-Visakhapatnam Steel Plant observed the 47th National Safety Day.  To mark the occasion, a function was organized at Multipurpose Hall, Ukkunagaram of VSP March 3rd.   Guest of Honour, Sri KBS Prasad, Deputy Chief Inspector of Factories, Govt of Andhra Pradesh appreciated RINL for its achievements on safety front and lauded VSP collective for conducting the best mock drill. He said that the Occupational Safety has gained national importance and he urged to stress on implementation of BBSM by encouraging positive safety culture.  Sri P Madhusudan, CMD, RINL, Chief Guest, emphasised that safety should be taken care by one and all and target has to be “zero accidents”. He also emphasised to follow technical discipline and focus on safety considering the new hazards of modern equipment and also capturing and investigating all near misses. Sri PC Mohapatra, Director (Projects), Sri P Raychoudhary, Director (Commercial), Sri KC Das, Director (Personnel), Sri PK Rath, Director (Operations), Sri R. Nagarajan, ED (Services), Union leaders Sri Ayodhyaram, Sri Sampoornam, Sri Bosu Babu, Sri M Simhachalam from SC/ST Association and Sri K. Chandra Rao, General Secretary, Steel Executive Association were also present and gave away prizes to the winners of various Safety competitions held in this connection.
