Sri VV Venugopal Rao said  that RINL is committed towards the success of the ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’ and provided Dumper bins to GVMC, installation of e-toilets, installation of toilet blocks etc under the mission. Sri Ramachandra Murthy, EO Simhachalam, thanked RINL Management for providing the Compost machine which is definitely going to improve the solid waste management system of the temple and also acclaimed the efforts of RINL in taking care of the public needs in the surrounding villages as a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility. Simhachalam temple is a heritage and pilgrim place in South India and daily 3000-5000 pilgrims avail free Lunch under Nityannadanam scheme. Daily a quantum of 200-300 Kg of organic waste is being generated consisting of waste food, tulasi and flowers etc. Improper disposal of solid waste can create unsanitary conditions leading to environmental pollution. In order to address the solid waste management issues, RINL-VSP has taken up the above project under CSR. This fully automatic and highly compact machine of 250 Kg capacity is capable of processing all kinds of organic waste into compost within 24 hours. The compost thus generated is proposed to be used for nurturing the temple gardens. This is the second CSR intervention of RINL at the holy shrine.  A prota-cabin toilet block costing Rs.11 Lakhs was also installed atop the temple for the benefit of the pilgrims.  Sri PK Mohapatra, GM(Law & Admn), Sri G Gandhi, DGM(CSR), RINL and officials from Simachalam Devasthanam were present on the occasion.
