Sri PK Rath, CMD, RINL has been bestowed with “Steelies India 2018 Award” for his Operational and Leadership Excellence at RINL-VSP.The prestigious award was presented to Sri PK Rath  by Sri Rajib Banerjee, Hon’ble Minister of Backward Classes Welfare, Govt of West Bengal on 26th November’18 during the national conference on “Integrated & Secondary Steel Sector—Growth and Survival Strategies” held at Kolkata. While participating in the panel discussion, Sri PK Rath observed that factors like technology, raw material securitization, and energy conservation would play a vital role in steel making process in the country. The steel consumption is bound to grow taking the advantage of GoI policies like Sagarmala Project, boost to infrastructure & construction, urban housing projects etc.,. We should focus on bringing down reliance on Special Steel imports, he said. On this occasion, Sri Rath was also felicitated for his outstanding contribution to Indian Steel Industry. The Steelies India Awards were presented to mark the completion of 20 years of the Steel & Metallurgy magazine. The award was instituted by the Kolkata based magazine Steel & Metallurgy.
