Sri K V Chowdary, Central Vigilance Commissioner, Govt of India highlighted the need to have the culture of integrity in the organiztions to survive in the society in view of the technological developments that are taking place in the country. He made this observation while addressing a large gathering of RINL-VSP officials at Ukkunagaram today.Sri Chowdary was on a maiden visit to RINL, observed that  organizations lacking integrity would perish  and he exhorted them to adopt good management practices to enhance transparency in its work procedures. He advised the organizations to develop a secured whistle blow mechanism where remedial measures would be taken in a systematic manner. He mentioned that integrity play a vital role in enhancing the ethical values in the society. He said that the Commission had introduced various outreach initiatives to  create/propagate the ideals of good governance and ethical values  to bring out good corporate culture in the society. He advised the organizations not to entertain any anonymous complaints and develop a vigil blow mechanism to redress the grievances. He said that vigilance is primarily a systems analyst and stressed the need to look at the standard operating procedures and guidelines to bring out a good governance. Sri Chowdary administered the Integrity Pledge to mark the occasion. Sri PK Rath, CMD, RINL in his welcome address said that RINL has included accountability and ethics in its core values of the organization and adopted several mechanisms to enhance transparency in its work procedures. He expressed his gratitude to Sri Chowdary for his valuable advise in bringing out good corporate governance practices. Sri PJ Vijayakar, CVO, RINL introduced the chief guest and briefed his achievements and services to the nation in bringing out transparency and enhancing  ethical values in the systems and procedures. Sri P Raychaudhury, Director (Commercial), Sri KC Das, Director (Personnel), Sri VV Venugopal Rao, Director (Finance), EDs, senior officers and large number of executives were present on the occasion. CVC addresses Vigilance Officers of Vizag bases PSUs On the occasion of maiden visit to Visakhapatnam steel plant by Central Vigilance Commissioner Sri KV Chowdary, a talk was organized under the auspices of Vigilance Study Circle,  Visakhapatnam today, for the vigilance officers of all the Public Sector Units in Visakhapatnam. Vigilance officers from RINL, HPVP, HSL, HPCL, DCI, VPT, NTPC, BSNL have participated. Sri Chowdary insisted on the importance of Preventive Vigilance in improving the integrity among the employees of the organization. He reiterated the need for making comprehensive investigation reports by vigilance officers to bring out all aspects of the issues in question thoroughly to enable proper analysis during further proceedings.  He also suggested that in addition to common aspects, industry specific aspects in preventive vigilance may be codified for guidance of employees of the organisation.  He also stated anonymous, pseudonymous complaints should not be encouraged.
