RINL POWERGRID TLT PRIVATE LIMITED (RPTPL), a 50:50 Joint Venture company of two Navratna CPSEs of India namely Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) and Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), has been incorporated on 19th August, 2015 as per Company Act, 2013. RPTPL is poised to commence its first phase of project work shortly to set up a Transmission Line Tower manufacturing unit strategically located at Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Initially the plant will be installed with an annual production capacity of 1,20,000 tones of fabricated and galvanized transmission line towers and Tower parts.
Overhead high voltage transmission line towers manufactured by RPTPL would cater
to the needs of power transmission in India and abroad.
The company would have numerous strategic advantages in terms of
logistics, availability of quality raw material and growing market. With strong
and committed support from RINL and POWERGRID, RPTPL is expected to emerge as
one of the largest tower manufacturing facility in India which, in times to
come, may also spread its wings in emerging markets of the Africa and Asian
countries, given its locational advantage.
The plant would be equipped with the latest CNC line for fabrication of towers
and microprocessor based temperature controlled eco-friendly systems for
galvanization of tower members.
