Energy Management System involves identification of significant energy aspects in terms of more energy efficient use, operational control of energy aspects and system of monitoring and mechanism. The Energy management system will enable organizations to focus on energy efficient usage through operational measures, procurement of energy efficient equipment and design, continuous review of objectives and targets to improve energy performance of the organization.

RINL earlier certified for BS EN: 16001 Energy Management System in Decí2010. RINL upgraded its energy management system to ISO: 50001 in Aug’2012. RINL is only public sector undertaking to adopt ISO: 50001 Energy Management System Using Energy Management system, about 200 Energy Management Action Plans were taken to reduce energy consumption and GHG emissions. RINL is recertified for a period of three years in Dec-2019.

RINL has 15 no of BEE certified energy auditors who have been conducting equipment energy audit and their recommendations are implemented.
