The International Convention on Quality Control Circles (ICQCC-2015) organized by the Association of Korean Standards Association (KSA) was held at Gyeongnam, South Korea.
QC team from SMS dept bagged the "SILVER" illumination Award and the QC teams from CO&CCP & PEM departments bagged the "BRONZE" illumination Awards for their case studies. Dr. GBS Prasad, Director (Personnel), RINL, Sri V Narayanan, GM (Management Services) Sri V Karuppasamy GM (Iron)I/c, and Smt N Bhanu, AGM (MS) attended the International Convention. QC team "Pinnacle" of SMS dept consisting of S/Sri R.K Gir i,D Vivekanand, P. Somu Naidu, P. Pydi Raju, BV Naidu, V.Eswara Rao and B.Koti Reddy presented their QC case study on "Improvisation of TK stand top & bottom roller rotary unions". QC team "Chakra" of CO&CCP dept consisting of S/Sri S. K. Gupta, S. Sivaji Babu, V. Narasinga Rao, K Tarakeswara Rao, Usman Ali, M Srinivasa Rao and P Sudhakar presented their QC case study on "Detection of rotary-drum rotation at various speeds". R Haranath , M V Satish, VV Ramana and S Bapi Raju presented their QC case study on "Reduction in power consumption & vibrations in MBC blowers by flow control". Apart from the above, a technical paper on "Implementing, Sustaining and Developing QCs at RINL" authored by Dr. GBS Prasad, Director (Personnel), RINL was also presented. Quality Circle (QC) teams and delegates from various organizations in 13 countries viz. India, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Korea, Philippines, Japan, Thailand, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka participated in the International Convention. A total of 1372 delegates from 256 teams participated in the convention. 388 delegates from 78 QC teams from India presented their case studies.
