RINL, the State run second biggest steel producer, came out with flying colours by bagging Vishwakarma Rashtriya Puraskar (VRP), a National Award for innovative suggestions (Performance Year for 2012). VSP has won this distinction for the ninth time in a row. Two employees Sri A Valli, Foreman (Elect) and Sri Ch Nooka Raju Dy. Tech, Blast Furnace Dept. were involved in the implementation of the suggestion on “Modification of Pusher Cars”.  Narendra Singh Tomar, Hon’ble Union Minister for Labour & Employment, Steel & Mines, gave away the VRP awards to the winners in the presence of Sri Vishnu Dev Sai, Hon’ble Minister of State for Labour & Employment, Steel & Mines today at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi.
Sri P Madhusudan, CMD, RINL congratulated the VRP award winners & facilitators for bringing fame and name to the organization and observed that RINL employees once again proved with their innovation and competitiveness in carrying out the job successfully. 
Dr GBS Prasad, Director (Personnel) RINL has witnessed the Award distribution function and provided inspiration to the award winners from VSP and congratulated them. S/Sri MVN Prithvi Raj, Mgr(E), BF Dept. who have played key role in implementation of the suggestion and Sri N Sundaram, Sr. Manager (HR) also attended the function as company representatives. The award was instituted by Ministry of Labour and Employment, Govt of India for excellent performance by workmen in industries.
