Sri Chaudhary Birender Singh, Union Minister of Steel inaugurated the 3 day “India Steel 2017”, the International Exhibition & Conference at Mumbai Exhibition Centre, Mumbai today. RINL has put up an exhibition stall highlighting various products and technology along with the Steel majors in the country. Sri Chaudhary Birender Singh, Union Minister of Steel visited RINL pavilion and appreciated RINL’s  participation in “India Steel 2017”. Sri P Madhusudan, CMD,RINL welcomed the Hon’ble Steel Minister, who showed keen interest in knowing the finished products rolled out by RINL and the technology incorporated in the plant. Later, Sri P Madhusudan, CMD addressed the large number of delegates who attended from India and abroad. He spoke at “CEOs Speak” on the way forward to enhance  production, value addition and Make in India concept. Sri Madhusudan said that technology in future would be a “Key differentiator” and it is time for the Indian Steel companies to transform themselves. He mentioned that if we benchmark India’s position on the steel demand curve, the Steel industry can easily aspire to reach 300 million tons by 2030 and he stressed the need for collective efforts both from the industry as well as the policy makers. He said that the enabling parameters would be technology augmentation and rapid expansion of production capacity, raw material securitization and development of  a strong ecosystem comprising facilities such as adequate power, water, logistics and human resources etc.
