RINL-Visakhapatnam Steel Plant  celebrated “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) today to mark the birth anniversary of Sardhar Vallabhbhai Patel with the objective to preserve and strengthen unity, integrity and security of our nation.Sri KC Das, Director (Personnel), RINL, senior officers and HODs of various departments across the organization  administered the Unity Pledge to mark the occasion. Sri KC Das flagged off  the ‘Run for Unity’ to mark the occasion. Over six hundred children from schools of  Ukkunagaram and RINL employees participated in the event at Col CK Naidu Ukku Stadium in Ukkunagaram. Speaking on the occasion, Sri. Kishore Chandra Das exhorted employees to foster and reinforce their dedication to preserve and strengthen the unity, integrity and security of India. Sri RV Rao, Executive Director (Corporate Services) & Chairman, VSP Sports Committee, Sri MS Kumar, HOD(Sports), representatives of Steel Executive Association, unions, SC&ST welfare association and Sports department participated.
