Jindal Steel, Ballari,  displayed their supremacy by lifting the All India Inter Steel Cricket Championship 2018  defeating Tata Steel at the finals held in Col CK Naidu Ukku Stadium. JSW scored 136 runs in 20 overs and won by 10 runs.Sri PK Rath, CMD,RINL gave away the Trophies to the winners and runners - up today in Ukkunagaram. While congratulating the winners, Sri Rath observed that the event reflects the good relations and bonding of sports persons from different steel plants in the country. RINL-VSP hosted the All India Inter Steel Cricket Championship  from 2nd to 8th December, 2018 in which 10 teams from Rourkela Steel Plant , Bhilai Steel Plant, Bokaro Steel Plant,  JSW,   JSPL,  VISL, Badhravathi,  ISP, Burnpur,   Salem Steel Plant, TATA Steel and  RINL-VSP took part. The tournament was  played in the T-20 format on league cum knock-out basis. Sri RV Rao, ED (Corporate services) & Chairman of VSP Sports Council, representatives of steel executive association, unions SC, ST association, WIPS were present on the occasion. Sri MS Kumar, AGM, sports and his team coordinated the event.
