Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Hon’ble Union Minister of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Minister of Steel today congratulated RINL collective on the occasion of 38th Formation Day for its contribution towards Nation Building and asked RINL collective to continue to contribute for national cause. He asked to mark this moment by rededicating for improving every possible aspect of efficiency in steel making in RINL banking on professional approach by identifying all opportunities to improve the efficiency to produce environmental friendly steel.Sri PK Rath, CMD, RINL-VSP unveiled the Mahatma Gandhi Statue in the front lawns of the Main Administration Building, to mark the RINL Formation Day (18th February) today, along with the Directors. Sri Rath and other dignitaries paid floral tributes to Mahatma on the occasion. The Gandhi Statue sculptured and cast with in-house talent, is going to be a main attraction to the Admn Building with the backdrop of a 100 feet High Mast National Flag. Speaking on the occasion, Sri Rath expressed his gratitude to the people who fought for the establishment of the steel plant here. While praising the departments involved in making and erecting the statue, Sri Rath observed that RINL collective proved their dynamism, innovativeness and inherent talent in making the statue with in-house talent. Sri Rath dedicated the Gandhi Statue to the entire plant collective. The Statue weighing with around four tons is the first of its kind made with cast iron. Sri KC Das, Director (Personnel), Sri KK Ghosh, Director (Projects), Sri AK Saxena, Director (Operations), Sri Irphan Ahmed, Commandant, CISF, Sri K Vidyasagar, ED(Works) I/c, Sri Debaish Ray, ED (Personnel & IR), senior officials, large number of union representatives offered floral tributes to the Father of the Nation on the occasion. Mass Plantation: To mark the Formation Day celebration, Sri Rath, CMD and Directors of RINL participated in a mass plantation in Ukkunagaram today morning. Sri KC Das, Director (Personnel), Sri VV Venugopal Rao, Director (Finance), Sri KK Ghosh, Director (Projects), Sri AK Saxena, Director (Operations), Sri Irphan Ahmed, Commandant, CISF, Sri Debaish Ray, ED (Personnel & IR), senior officials, a large number of School children, CISF personnel, employees, representatives of unions actively participated in the plantation drive. JN Awards Presentation: Sri PK Rath, CMD, RINL presented Jawaharlal Nehru Awards to 83 employees, both executives and non-executives for their outstanding performance. The celebrations also marked cultural programmes by school children of Ukkunagaram. A musical night by noted cine playback singer Ms Sona Mohapatra & party enthralled the audience at the sprawling Trishna Grounds in the township. Sri K Dhanajaya Rao, a Tollywood cine playback singer enthralled the audience with old and new Telugu songs. The 38th RINL Formation Day celebrations started on 16th February with a Vizag Steel Walkathon by Ms PV Singhu, Vizag Steel Brand Ambassador at the Beach road.
