RINL, the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant was bestowed with the prestigious “Corporate Vigilance Excellence Award” for promoting transparency in its procedures and bringing awareness in combating corruption in the organization.
Sri P Madhusudan, CMD, RINL was the Chief Guest and distributed the vigilance awards at the Conclave of Vigilance Officers organised by Institute of Public Enterprise (IPE), Hyderabad. Sri B Siddhartha Kumar, IFS, CVO, RINL received the “Corporate Vigilance Excellence Award” from Sri P Madhusudan on the occasion. It is noteworthy to mention that VSP has bagged the corporate award for the 2nd time in a row.
Four Vigilance Officers from RINL also received the Individual Vigilance Excellence Award for 2014-15 for their outstanding performance from the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, Sri Madhusudan exhorted all officers in Public Sectors to promote transparency, ethics and integrity which are the pillars for supporting excellence in any organization. He congratulated the Vigilance Department and the award winners for bringing laurels to the Company.
Sri Siddhartha Kumar, IFS, CVO of RINL emphasized that several initiatives have been taken by Vigilance Department to create an atmosphere of transparent work culture and for bringing vigilance awareness across the organization. Effective utilization of Information Technology, System improvements in the organization, effective archiving of data could be the tools of every employee to take the organization to higher levels of excellence, he added.
