Sri Shubhash Pardhi, Hon"ble member, National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC), Dr. G. Sunil Kumar Babu, Director, NCSC, conducted a review Meeting today at a hotel with the RINL Management on matters pertaining to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.Sri Atul Bhatt, CMD, RINL, Dr. SC Pandey, Director (Personnel) and additional charge Director(Finance), Sri G. Gandhi Chief General Manager (HR), senior officials of RINL, Sri V .Tirupati Rao ,DGM(HR) & Liaison officer for SC & STs, RINL and other officials attended the meeting .

Silver Jubilee of WIPS (Forum for Women in Public Sector) formation day was celebrated in VSP today in a grand manner. It may be noted that the Forum for Women in Public Sector (WIPS) of RINL, which was established in 1997 has completed 25 long and successful years. Addressing the women employees of RINL, Sri Atul Bhatt, CMD, RINL-VSP in his address, lauded the exceptional contribution by the women fraternity of RINL in turning around the company after six years of making losses.” I am very happy to note that Women in Public Sector (WIPS) of RINL, which was established in 1997 has completed 25 long and successful years and is celebrating silver Jubilee this year”, Sri Atul Bhatt said.  He congratulated all the women employees of RINL on this special occasion and appreciated them for their active role in improving the awareness on the role of women in the society.Sri Atul Bhatt congratulated Ms.PV Sindhu, for bagging the prestigious gold at the Commonwealth Games in Badminton women’ singles competition and said that it is matter of pride for entire RINL family that Ms. PV Sindhu is the brand ambassador of RINL.Sri Atul Bhatt complimented Ms. Sheela Priyadarsini, Chief General Manager & head of the department -Materials Management, RINL for efficiently handling the extremely complex supply chain management of steel plant. “It is heartening to note that more number of women are joining RINL and it is a matter of pride to note that women are increasingly and gradually seen marching into domains which were once reserved only for men like the armed forces. I would like to compliment WIPS of RINL for their active role in improving the awareness about the role of women in society and the various programmes they undertake for this cause.”, Sri Atul Bhatt added.

The Visakha Steel General Hospital (VSGH) has been equipped with a new wing called “Oncology” for the first time  as an  employee welfare initiative.

RINL - VIZAG STEEL remits Rs 1Crore of employees’ contribution through online to AP CM Relief Fund for fighting Covid 19.  

Smt YV Anuradha,  a retired IAS Officer called upon the womenfolk  to strive for bringing change in the society without fear  and instill confidence that they are  not only equal  but better than  men in many ways. She made this observation while speaking at the International Women’s Day in Ukkunagaram today.

Sri PK Rath, CMD,RINL-VSP  inaugurated the newly joined Management Trainees (MTs) Induction Training Programme (2019-20) today.  

The Forum of Women in Public Sector (WIPS) has been reconstituted its Managing Committee in RINL, Vizag Steel. The inaugural meeting of new committee held today and chaired by Sri Debashish Ray, ED(HR).

Sri PK Rath, CMD,RINL-VSP  observed that the Steel Industry is showing signs of improvement in the country with  the introduction of Government’s new  initiatives in boosting the spending on infra, construction and auto sector.

Sri PK Rath, CMD, RINL highlighted the importance of Rajbhasha and exhorted the employees to implement official language in the day to day work. He was the chief guest today at the valedictory of Hindi Fortnight celebrations conducted in VSP. He congratulated RINL collective for bringing laurels in the effective implementation of Hindi and thereby receiving many prizes at national level.

Sri Kanak Kumar Ghosh assumed charge as the new Director (Projects) of RINL-VSP today. Prior to this assignment, Sri Ghosh worked as Executive Director (Mills & Logistics) in RINL.

Sri PK Rath, CMD,RINL called upon the newly inducted Management Trainees and Junior Trainees to upgrade their knowledge, skills and  inculcate the habit of discipline to grow in their career ladder. This needs commitment and dedication from every one, he added.

Sri Pradosh Kumar Rath assumed charge as the new CMD of RINL-Visakhapatnam today.  Sri Rath, was earlier the Director (Operations) of RINL.

Sri PJ Vijayakar, IFS has assumed charge of Chief Vigilance Officer of RINL on 20th September, 2018.

Sri P Raychaudhury, CMD, RINL  chaired the meeting of Town Official Language Implementation Committee -TOLIC (Undertakings), Visakhapatnam on July 25th  in Ukkunagaram.  Representatives from 35 Undertakings participated in the meeting.   The performance related to the implementation of Official Language of each member office was reviewed.

RINL-Visakhapatnam Steel Plant organized  “STEEL HR FORUM”  Meet,  a Knowledge Sharing Talk in Ukkunagaram today on the occasion of the visit of Sri Atul Srivastava, Director (Personnel), SAIL and his team  of senior HR.  

RINL, the Corporate entity of Vizag Steel Plant is organizing a 2-Day workshop (9th & 10th July) on “Leadership and Team Building”  exclusively for its Senior Management  comprising of Executive Directors and General Managers. The program is being facilitated by a renowned Prof Dr TV Rao, M/s. TVR Learning Systems, Bengaluru and Former Professor of IIM-Ahmedabad.

RINL-VSP paid rich tributes to Alluri Sitarama Raju on the occasion of his 121th birth anniversary in Ukkunagaram today.  

Sri Prabir Raychaudhury, Director (Commercial) of RINL- Visakhapatnam Steel Plant who has been  assigned current charge of the post of  Chairman-cum-Managing Director of RINL by the Ministry of Steel,  assumed  charge today – 1st June,2018.

Sri P Madhusudhan, CMD, RINL  laid the foundation stone for the Wellness Centre  today in Ukkunagaram. Speaking on the occasion,  Sri Madhusudan  emphasized  that Wellness Centre will enhance the happiness and health index of the employees and helpful in carrying forward  the Company  in the path of growth and glory.

Sri P Madhusudan, CMD,RINL-VSP said that RINL is known for operational efficiency and its competency levels being very high among the employees and that they have established high standards in technological discipline. He made this observation while inaugurating the induction & orientation programme of new Management Trainees (MTs) of February 2018 batch on 19th February,2018.
