Run for Solidarity - 37th RINL FORMATION DAY

A‘Run for Solidarity’ in memory of the forty CRPF Jawans who lost their lives in Pulawama was organized on 18th February 2019, RINL Formation Day in Col CK Nayudu Ukku Stadium. Around seven hundred children participated in the event which was flagged off by Ms. PV Sindhu, Olympic Silver Medalist in Shuttle Badminton, in the presence of CMD, Directors and CVO.

Run for Unity - Rashtriya Ekta Diwas—2019

RINL organised a ‘Run for Unity’ in connection with Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. RINL employees in good number and over Five hundred Children from Schools of Ukkunagaram participated in the ‘Run for Unity’ which was flagged off by Sri D K Mohanthy, Director (Commercial), RINL at the Col. C.K. Nayudu Ukku Stadium. The event was co-ordinated by Sports Dept. Speaking on the occasion, Sri. D K Mohanthy D(C) stated that all the RINL employees along with Children who are the future of our Country should reinforce their dedication to preserve and strengthen the unity, integrity and security of India. Director (Commercial) administered the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledge to all the participants. Sri R.V.Rao, Executive Director (CS) Sri. M.S.Kumar HOD (Sports), Sri J Ayodhya Ram President, recognised Union (CITU) Sri D Sampurnam Working President INTUC, Sri K S N Rao Addl.Gen. Secretary AITUC, Sri K Ravi Shankar President OBC, Sri M Simhachalam President SC ST Welfare Assn. participated.

Summer Coaching Camp 2019

The RINL Annual Summer Coaching Camp 2019 concluded today. The Camp which commenced on 2nd May, had more than 1300 children registered in the 13 disciplines. The disciplines are 01.Athletics 02. Badminton (Shuttle) 03.Basketball 04. Boxing 05. Chess 06. Cricket 07. Football 08. Hockey 09. Kabaddi 10.Lawn Tennis 11. Roller Skating 12. Volleyball 13. Yoga .

Thirty seven coaches imparted coaching to the children for two sessions daily. Diet comprising of Boiled Egg, sprouts and lime juice were provided in the morning while sprouts and lime juice were served in the evening. All the coaches were given honorarium for their services.

Sri Kishore Chandra Das Director (Personnel) RINL was the Chief Guest for the valedictory function. Sri M.S.Kumar, HOD-Sports presented a report about the camp.

Speaking on the occasion, Sri Kishore Chandra Das advised the coaches to provide regular coaching to the identified talent from the camp. He also mentioned that the Sports Dept. will be organizing a number of Inter-School competitions in Athletics, Basketball, Football, Hockey and Volleyball apart from an Inter-School Sports Quiz.

Inter-School Sports Quiz

Major Dhyan Chand Inter-School Sports Quiz 2019 in Connection with “NATIONAL SPORTS DAY” for Schools located in Ukkunagaram and its adjacent area was successfully organised by Sports Dept, RINL on 29.08.2019. Sri Kishore Chandra Das, Director (Personnel), RINL was the Chief Guest for the Inaugural function.

De Paul School, Ukkunagaram team comprising of students A Adithya and Nikhil Kavin were declared Winners after putting in an excellent performance. Delhi Public School, Ukkunagaram team represented by students Asmit Kumar and Sailesh Patra was Runners-up.

Sri J Rahul, AGM (HRD) was the Quiz Master. Speaking on the occasion, Sri Kishore Chandra Das advised the children to update themselves in general knowledge and sports which would help them for preparation in competitive examinations and also inculcate interest in sports amongst the non-playing students. Purpose of organizing the Sports quiz is to help children gain knowledge about the history of Sports & Games held over the World in addition to the achievements of sportspersons in the International and National events.

The event was organized with the help of the employees of the Sports Department and the occasion was graced by the representatives of Executive Association, Trade Unions, WIPS, SC & ST Association and OBC Association.

Sri J Rahul, AGM (HRD) & Quiz Master distributed the Prizes to the Winners and Runners-up.

Sports for Specially Abled Children 2019

Sports Dept. is organizing Sports for Special Children as a CSR activity on 02.02.2019 in Col.C.K.Nayudu Ukku Stadium. The event is being organized for the fifth time.

In the first three editions, only schools from Visakhapatnam District participated. However, from last year, two schools from Vizayanagaram District are participating. This year, thirteen schools i.e., eleven schools from Visakhapatnam District and two schools from Vizayanagaram District are invited.

The schools are 1.Arunodaya Educational Society 2.Lebenshilfe 3.Pavani Institute for Multiple Handicapped & Spastics 4.Integrated Vikalangula Ashrama Patasala, Achuthapuram 5.Hidden Sprouts Special School for Mentally Handicapped 6.Sun Flower Educational & Charitable Society 7.Sreya Foundation 8.Emmanuel Ministries Association 9.Care&Love 10.Sankalp 11. Prajwal Special School 12.Chaitanya Vani, Vizayanagaram 13.Vikas School for MR Vizayanagaram. A total of 274 children will be involved in the event. VSP is providing a track lower & T-shirt to each child. Transport and catering are arranged. Medals will be presented to the Winners.

International Yoga Day

International Yoga Day 2019 was celebrated by RINL today in Multi Purpose Hall, Ukkunagaram Club. Director(Personnel), RINL Sri Kishore Chandra Das was the Chief Guest for the Inaugural function.

Speaking on the occasion, Sri Kishore Chandra Das emphasized the need for good health to everyone which would ensure a happy life and better output in production. He also mentioned that yoga classes are being conducted regularly in RINL since 2002-2003 and that thousands of employees and family members have benefited.

Around five hundred persons participated in the event which was co-ordinated by Sports Dept. Common Yoga Protocol as advised by the Ministry of Ayush was followed under the guidance of yoga teachers Sri A Kanaka Rao and Smt. A Shyamala.

Art of Living, JCI (Vizag Steel City), Brahma Kumaris and Chinmaya Mission also participated in large numbers.
