Sri P Madhusudan, CMD, RINL observed that steel sector is playing an important role in the growth and prosperity of the country and RINL is always focusing on producing high quality products to compete in the market and also meet the customer needs.
 

He made this observation while inaugurating a two day workshop on “Challenges in Quality Control of Long Steel Products” being organized by VSP in association with Indian Institute of Metals (IIM), Visakhapatnam chapter in Ukkunagaram today.Sri Madhusudan said that the quality aspect should start from raw material itself and take the advantage of the technology to produce high quality products  and value added steel to suit the customer requirements. He highlighted the need to utilize the research and technology in integrating traditional products with new products with out compromising environmental aspects. RINL has already established it base in the country for its high quality steel products, he added.
 
Sri SS Mohanty, President, IIM in his key note address mentioned that Steel Industry is currently in stress conditions globally and to survive and sustain in the market, steel plants should roll out quality based  new products/value added steel by taking the advantage of the research and know-how. The effect of imported steel particularly from China, has detrimental effect on Indian Steel Industry and making steel with quality and reliability in one of the serious challenges for the industry.
Sri PC Mohapatra, Director (Projects), Sri P Raychaudhury, Director (Commercial), Sri B Siddhartha Kumar, IFS, CVO, RINL graced the occasion.
Sri DN Rao, Director (Operations), Dr Anup Kumar, Tata Steel, Sri SK Sarna, Ex ED (Works) RINL, in their address highlighted that Quality and reliability are the only mantra for success of any steel plant operations.
