On the occasion of 38th Formation Day, RINL has organized  “Vizag Steel Walkathon” – a novel and unique walkathon was organized by the Central PSU for the first time in Visakhapatnam on 16th February, 2020 at RK Beach, promoting various initiatives being under taken by both Central & State Governments for the welfare and benefit of common people.The walkathon was organised for a distance of around 1.5 km starting from RK Beach towards AU Yoga Village followed by Swachh Bharat (Beach Cleaning activity) in the beach opposite to Yoga Village. Miss PV Sindhu, the Brand Ambassador of Vizag Steel was the torch bearer for this walkathon.  The Walkathon attracted huge participation from the school children and employees of RINL. Sri PK Rath, CMD,RINL, Vice Admiral Atul Kumar Jain, FOC-in Chief, Eastern Naval Command, Sri CK Srivatsav, DRM, Eco Railway, Sri N Sambasiva Rao, CEO, Gangavaram Port Ltd,   Sri KC Das, Director (Personnel), Sri VV Venugopal Rao, Director (Finance), Sri DK Mohanty, Director (Commercial), Sri KK Ghosh, Director (Projects), Sri AK Saxena, Director (Operations), Sri PJ Vijayakar, CVO,  Smt Sarada Rath, President of Visteel mahila Samiti, Sri KV Vidya Sagar, Executive Director (Works) I/c, EDs, etc participated in the event. In this walkathon, around 1800 School Children from various schools of Ukkunagaram   participated along with the Women wing of Vizag Steel (Visteel Mahila Samiti), RINL Top Management, Sr. Management, Trade Union leaders, employees of Vizag Steel will participated.
