Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), Visakhapatnam Steel Plant conducted a Plant Level Mock Drill today on 23.06.2022 to test the On-Site Emergency Preparedness at an imaginary fire at Final Gas Cooler - 3 area of Coke oven and Coal Chemical Plant Dept , in which the  emergency services like  CISF Fire wing, Medical services, Gas Safety, Maintenance, safety department, Environment Management Dept, CISF (Security), HR dept etc have participated. During the Mock Drill, the fixed and mobile fire fighting installations such as High range fire monitor systems, Foam Flooding systems, Fire Tenders etc were put in operation and other communication facilities like Emergency Manual Call Point and siren system were used. As part of the Mock drill, CISF Security personnel carried out the rescue operation and rescued the affected persons from the spot using Self contained breathing apparatus and other emergency response devices. Sri J. Shiva Shankar Reddy - Joint Chief Inspector of Factories, Visakhapatnam, Govt of AP,    and Shri P Chinna Rao- Inspector of Factories, Visakhapatnam, Govt of AP, witnessed the Mock  Drill, gave their valuable suggestions and applauded the efforts and preparedness of VSP team in conducting the Mock  Drill. The Plant Level Mock Drill was conducted under the guidance of Sri MSV Krishnaiah, Chief General Manager (Safety & Environment). Senior officers Sri S N Singh General Manager (CO&CCP) I/c, and Shri  N K Rout,  General Manager (Safety) I/c  and  Sri Lalan Prasad Rajak , Deputy General Manager (EMD) who was the chief observer  have attended and evaluated the efficacy of the Drill.
