RINL was awarded the prestigious National Energy Leader Award for a record 5th time in a row.This prestigious award was given to RINL by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power, Govt. of India at a function held at Hyderabad, recently.The National Energy Leader award is given to any organisation at National level if it wins Excellent Energy Efficient Unit Award consecutively for last three years. This is a rare achievement for any Industry to continuously win the for National Energy Leader award for 5 years. It may please be noted that This is the 5th time that RINL won the National Energy Leader Award  as RINL has been awarded Excellent Energy Efficient Unit Award for 7th Time in the years 2017,2018,2019,2020,2021,2022,2023 in a row by CII Godrej Green Business Centre. National Award competition for Excellence in Energy Management was held at Hyderabad in recognition of efforts toward Energy Conservation, energy efficiency and GHG (greenhouse gas) reduction  at RINL.This award was given to RINL for implementing  various energy conservation measures such as  Recommissioning of  LD gas holder-2, Improvement in  Power generation from  GETS(gas expansion turbine station) and COB4(coke oven battery 4) Turbine, Optimisation of heat and power  consumption at  various production shops ,Reduction of BF gas Bleeding  and Waste Recycling through Briquettes and Micro Pellets, Decarbonisation strategy to achieve Net Zero Emission,Perform,Achieve and Trade Targets.

The International Convention on Quality Control Circles (ICQCC-2020), organized by the “Bangladesh Society for Total Quality Management (BSTQM)” was held at Dhaka, Bangladesh from 1st – 3rd Dec, 2020. More than 250 teams from various countries including China, Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia, South Korea, Bangladesh, and Srilanka etc. participated in the competition.  Three LQC teams from Vizag Steel i.e. “AMPS” from Blast Furnace , “Yantrik” from CO&CCP and “New Wings” from LMMM presented their case studies in virtual mode in the competition conducted during the convention. While, all the teams bagged “PLATINUM”, the top most award at the Convention, the 1st prize in the stream was bagged by the team “AMPS” from Blast Furnace among all ‘PLATINUM’ awardees internationally.

RINL-Vizag Steel  has been awarded Excellent Energy Efficient Unit Award by CII GBC in  National Award competition for Excellence in Energy Management held online from 25th August"20 to 28th August"20 in recognition of efforts towards Energy Conservation at RINL. RINL also awarded National Energy Leader Award 2nd time for winning  Excellent Energy Efficient Unit Award  consecutively for three years ( 2017-18,2018-19, 2019-20). 

Shri PK Rath, CMD, RINL received  National Energy Conservation Award- First Prize under Integrated Steel Plant category from Shri RK Singh,  Hon’ble Union  Minisiter of State (I/c) for Power; Minister of State (I/c) for New  &  Renewable Energy  and Minister of State for Skill Development  & Entrepreneurship on 14th  Dec’2019 at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi.

Vizag Steel employees brought national level recognition by receiving prestigious Viswakarma Rashtriya Purskar for their innovative work.

The Govt of India bestowed Rajbhasha Keerti Puraskar (First Prize) on RINL-VSP for outstanding performance in the area of Hindi implementation for the year 2018-19.

Corporate Communications Department, RINL won third prize in "Brand Image Building through inclusive growth initiatives" category in the SCOPE Corporate Communication Excellence Awards 2019 at the national level where in  57 PSUs participated with 183 entries.  

The Annual Quality Circles, Suggestion Scheme and 5S (Work Place Management) recognition function was organized at Multipurpose Hall, Ukkunagaram today to recognize the efforts of QC members, Suggestors and 5S depts. In RINL-VSP

Sri PK Rath, CMD, RINL has been bestowed with “Steelies India 2018 Award” for his Operational and Leadership Excellence at RINL-VSP.

RINL-VSP is the proud recipient of the “National Sustainability Award – Second Prize” for the year 2018  (Integrated Steel Plants Category) in recognition of Quality Control aspects in the Steel Sector.

Sri M Venkaiah Naidu, Hon’ble Vice President of India presented the prestigious “Rajbhasha Keerti Puraskar (Gruha Patrika)” 1st Prize for the year 2017-18 to RINL-VSP on the occasion of ‘Hindi Divas’ on 14th September, 2018 at a glittering function held at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi today.

RINL has been bestowed with “Excellent Energy Efficient Award” by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Godrej Green Business Centre during 19th National Competition for Excellence in Energy Management held at Hyderabad.

RINL-Visakhapatnam Steel Plant has bagged the coveted Rajbhasha Prize of Ministry of Steel, Govt. of India for the year 2017-18.

Sri P Madhusudan, CMD, RINL  said that RINL employees have immense potential, competitiveness and are always demonstrating their skill sense in improving the productivity and thus bringing name and fame to the organization.  He exhorted the employees to adapt to changes in this competitive business environment for survival and success.

The Panel of Judges (POJ) for the “Prime Minister’s Trophy 2016-17” is  on a 3 day visit to RINL to evaluate the  performance of RINL for the year 2016-17  for the award PM’s Trophy for the best Integrated Steel Plant in the country.

RINL was conferred the Best Enterprise Award-First prize in the “Navratna” category for 2017 in recognition of the commendable support extended by the management; and participation, involvement and achievements of its women employees in professional front.

Sri P Madhusudan, CMD, RINL underscored the need to leverage several new technologies introduced in the VSP and also asked to make more and more use of secondary metallurgical facilities like RH degasser and also maximise the use of Pulverised Coal Injection (PCI), etc. This requires greater employment involvement in every aspect of the production and transformation of work culture, he added.
