RINL has displayed its continued commitment to Quality and process capability by obtaining CARES (UK) Certification for Concrete Reinforcement Bars i.e. Re-bars 16mm to 36 mm. LMMM (Light and Medium Merchant Mill) Department of RINL achieved International recognition by obtaining Cares Certification for export of Re-bars. Cares, an internationally acclaimed Certification Authority for Reinforcing steels, has certified RINL with certifications BS4449:2005, CS2:2012 and SS560:2016 for export of LMMM Re-bar of sizes 16mm to 36mm. At a program held at RINL’s main administration building, Sri Atul Bhatt, CMD, RINL said that RINL is very happy on receiving the prestigious certificate from CARES, UK for Reinforcing bars (Re-bars) which RINL produces

In line with the Government of India’s various developmental initiatives being taken up in the North-East region, Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited, the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant opened a new Stock yard at Guwahati, the capital of Assam  to make Quality Vizag steel products easily accessible to the North East region of India.

RINL-VSP bagged Star Performer Award for the year 2017- 18 in Large Enterprise Category.

Sales of Vizag Steel long products to retail customers started at RINL Retial Outlet at Pedagantyada today. Sri PK Rath, CMD,RINL-VSP inaugurated the sales operations at its new constructed Retail Outlet building.

Sri R Nagarajan,  Executive Director (Projects) I/c / RINL, Visakhapatnam Steel Plant inaugurated the Data Capturing Unit (DCU) of unloading yard of Central Dispatch Yard in the presence of other  senior officials of VSP.

Sri PK Rath, CMD,RINL-VSP  flagged off the first Rail dispatch of a full rake of 43 wagons comprising approximately 2500 tons  of various products of Vizag Steel today at  the Central Dispatch Yard (CDY), a unique project, built at a cost of Rs 320 crores in a sprawling 200 acres inside the plant premises. 

Sri PK  Rath, CMD, RINL  while reviewing the performance of the plant and current steel  market scenario with senior management today, has taken stock of the situation on Company’s financial front and the initiatives to improve the cash flow

Buoyed by an impressive performance during the last fiscal, RINL, the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant organized an  “All India Customers’ Meet” to further strengthen the bond with them at Ukkunagaram today. A large number of Customers, Consignment Agents across the country participated.

Sri PK Rath, CMD,RINL highlighted the strong need to formulate aggressive marketing strategies during the last quarter of the current fiscal to meet the targets and capture the market by selling more Value Added/ Special steel products. He made this observation while inaugurating the Regional Managers (Marketing) Meeting in Ukkunagaram on January 5th.

RINL-Visakhapatnam Steel Plant has built a new  in-gate at Balacheruvu to facilitate smooth movement of heavy vehicles entering the plant to transport the iron & steel, By- products from the plant.

RINL-Visakhapatnam Steel Plant is the proud recipient of the prestigious National Award, “Star Performer Award” for Export Excellence  for the year 2016-17. The award was instituted by Engineering Exports Promotion Council (EEPC), Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt of India.

Buoyed by the excellent overall performance particularly on the commercial front during 2017-18,  RINL-VSP organized an “All India Regional Managers & Branch Managers Conference”  today in Ukkunagaram to draw a road map and to meet the  target  of increased volumes for  2018-19 financial year.

Sri P Madhusudan, CMD,RINL said that markets started signs of recovery in the Steel Industry during the current year and RINL registered a notable performance during 2017-18 (provisional turn over Rs 16,500 crores) and is all set to register net profit during the current year by leveraging the advantages of expansion and modernization of 7.3 mtpa stage. He said that with the increase in saleable steel volume, RINL is adopting “Multi-mode Transport System and End to End” logistics support. RINL in this direction, is taking various marketing initiatives besides focusing on  meeting the requirements of customers  with proper product mix, he added.

Sri P Madhusudan, CMD, RINL-VSP today launched a new initiative  “RINL Marketing Sales Mobile App” to facilitate viewing of real time sales data by Senior Executives of RINL through their mobile phones by providing necessary access and authentication. 

At a glittering function held at the Visakhapatnam Port, Chaudhury Birender Singh, Hon’ble Union Minister for Steel flagged – off the maiden coastal shipment of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited(RINL), the corporate entity of Vizag Steel along with Shri Nitin Gadkari, Hon’ble Minister for Shipping, who joined through video conferencing on 1st November,2017.

Sri P Madhusudan, CMD,RINL has said that RINL  is focusing more on producing Special Steel/Value Added Steel with the introduction of new technologies in the Mills and accordingly strategies were drawn up to improve the RINL market share in the Special Steel  segment in the country. He made this observation while inaugurating the “All India Special Steel Customers meet” organized by Marketing Department of RINL in Ukkunagaram on October 24th.

Sri P Madhusudan, CMD, RINL inaugurated the new Steel Stockyard of RINL-VSP at BB Gudem road, Gannavaram today with an aim to increase of RINL presence in the capital region – Amaravati and its surroundings. This is the second outlet of RINL, after Visakhapatnam, in  Andhra Pradesh.

The E-Portal is an excellent example of synergy between ‘Digital India’ and ‘Make in India’ missions initiated by Hon’ble Prime Minister, say Shri Birender Singh  Union Steel Minister Shri Birender Singh today launched a dedicated e-portal for online sales of steel products by RINL through MSTC Metal Mandi, in North Eastern Region of the country. Minister of State for Steel, Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, Secretary, Steel, Dr. Aruna Sharma, CMD, RINL, Shri P.Madhusudan and CMD, MSTC Shri B.B.Singh were among those present on the occasion.
