RINL, Visakhapatnam Steel Plant celebrated the 73rd Republic Day with patriotic fervor in Ukkunagaram today. Sri Atul Bhatt, CMD, RINL unfurled the National Flag, took the salute and inspected the guard of honor accorded by the CISF Jawans, at the sprawling Trishna Grounds in the township. The function was conducted with a very limited gathering maintaining all Covid protocols and in virtual mode.  The live streaming of the function is arranged through social media facilitated by CC Department.Addressing the employees and their family members, Sri Atul Bhatt fondly remembered this day as it saw the culmination of heroic struggle of an extraordinary generation of leaders and soldiers, who left no stone unturned to overcome colonialism and brought us Purna Swaraj. Sri Bhatt congratulated RINL collective who worked together to achieve record production at all major production units and for utilizing the opportunities of the buoyant market  resulting in achieving a Profit After Tax of  Rs.790 Crores during the first nine months of the fiscal. “The year 2021 has provided us many learning experiences and the company has benefitted enormously emerging stronger to face such challenges in future. We have to continuously look for opportunities in every process to cost savings” he called for. He informed that “Hot Metal production which stood at 4.428Mt registered a growth of 47% while Liquid Steel production and Saleable Steel production stood at 4.196 Mt and at 3.885 Mt registering a growth of 47% and 44% respectively. Sales volume of 3.725 Mt registered a growth of 22%. Sales Turnover Rs.19403 registered a growth of 70%.”  "The commissioning of the Forged Wheel Plant was another feather in the cap. RINL took a step forward in aiding the Atma Nirbhar Bharat policy of the Govt. of India."  Sri Bhatt  added. Shri.
